About Chris Niedermeier

On-Air TV Senior Political Analyst and FMR U.S. Senate Chief of Staff, Chris Niedermeier’s career highlights include FMR Deputy Director at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission during the Clinton Administration, U.S. Congress Democratic Nominee, Connecticut State Representative, and Selectman (Deputy Mayor), Town of Fairfield, Connecticut.

She has vast experience both as a federal government official and a state and municipal elected official, as well as an advisor, campaign staff member and volunteer to numerous candidates for office at every level of government, notably seven presidential campaigns, including Clinton/Gore 1996, John Kerry 2004, Hillary Clinton 2008 and Obama/Biden 2008.

Niedermeier is an attorney by profession and has served as Chairman of the National Conference of State Legislatures’ Transportation and Communications Committee in Washington, as Federal Government Transition Policy Director for a major national professional association, and much more. Among her many awards are honors bestowed by United Way, the Center for Women and Families, and the United Nations.

Appearing as a Senior Political Analyst on MSNBC, CNN, the Fox News Channel, Fox CT, and CNN International as well as other major television networks and affiliates, Chris Niedermeier’s unique edge is that she has broad political expertise having worked in the trenches and at a high level in all three levels of government. Her signature is a smart, no-nonsense, independent approach and an opinion that is merit and issue-based rather than being restricted along party lines.

Niedermeier is the creator and author of the independent political blog, “Straight Scoop Politics,” at www.StraightScoopPolitics.com. She is a distinguished graduate of Georgetown University – where she was the first woman to deliver the Cohonguroton Commencement Address – and Georgetown University Law Center.
